Sasuke had officially been written off as a missing nin, and Ino had been devastated ever since she heard the news. In fact, she was sitting on her living room couch now, crying tears that Sasuke wasn't even worthy of. Sakura was there, too, sitting beside her best friend and making an attempt at comforting her. Rubbing Ino's back and trying to soothe her with soft words wasn't didn't seem to be having any affect on the distraught teen, and so Sakura was about to resort to slightly more drastic methods.
"Ino, look at me," Sakura demanded, and the teary blond met the sea foam green eyes of the other girl. Quickly, but gently, Sakura grasped Ino's face, and brought her lips down to meet Ino's. At first, Ino didn't respond to the surprising gesture coming from her best friend, but eventually she kissed Sakura back with just as much passion.
